Big changes at Art Processors in 2025

FOCUSSING ON THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION

In 2025 we’re making a significant strategy shift to focus our experience design business closer to home in the Australian and Asia-Pacific region. This means we’ve had to make the difficult decision to wind down our USA design division.

Art Processors has operated in the United States for over 10 years and we want to acknowledge our talented US team and pass on our sincere gratitude for their dedication and hard work. Their design leadership, passion and creative efforts represent a significant contribution to the cultural sector. Their brilliant work will continue to have a positive impact for our US clients and the communities they serve for many years to come.

COMPANY LEADERSHIP CHANGES

In addition to the change to our geographic operations, we have also restructured the company leadership team. Company leadership will now comprise the Art Processors founders David Walsh, Nic Whyte and Tony Holzner. Nic and Tony now occupy Senior Principal roles whilst David remains Company Director.

As part of the leadership changes Mark Nihill, formerly CEO, and Amie Scruton, formerly COO, stepped aside from their roles earlier in the year. Mark and Amie have played a significant role in AP’s growth and development, having nurtured the small startup business into a leading design and technology company. They have built deep rapport with many people at AP over many years and we want to recognise their tireless generosity, friendship and above-and-beyond support of the whole team.

TRUE TO OUR ROOTS

These are big, necessary changes for Art Processors. For our base in the Australian market it means we can invest more in local partnerships, our people, our design practice, our technology R&D, and continue to deliver state-of-the-art work that is true to our roots in enabling audiences to connect more meaningfully to art and culture.

PLADIA - OUR GLOBAL PRODUCT

Our product business, Pladia, will continue to expand globally, allowing us to grow our reach and support museums and cultural attractions in every part of the world. Our Pladia US-based customer team will continue to work with leading cultural institutions in the North American region.

PARTNERSHIP WITH FELT DESIGN

While our Experience Design team is now focused on work closer to home, our relationships in the United States remain very important to us.

We’re proud to be working with Felt Design, a new studio founded by former members of our US team. Their experience in cultural and visitor-centred design runs deep, and they’ve been key contributors to many of our US projects.
This partnership means Art Processors can continue to support select US-based projects as needed. Felt will lead on the ground in the US region, while we remain available to collaborate, particularly through our Pladia product which continues to serve clients in North America.
